Mothers & More Portland has a Yahoo Groups site for those who are interested in learning more about our organization, but who haven't offically joined. This group gives interested parties access to our Newsletter (as described below), as well as a way to ask questions and discuss issues about the group prior to joining. Members only site
Mothers & More Portland maintains a
members only site on Yahoo Groups which allows us to provide password
protected information to our membership. The following are a few of the
reasons to use this site:
Chapter Communications
Mothers & More Portland primarily uses
Yahoo Groups for our communications within the chapter. This is the way we
maintain our email list. New members are strongly encouraged to register
with Yahoo Groups in order to be notified of chapter events and
participate in online discussions. Once you have joined Mothers & More PDX,
you will be invited via email to the Yahoo Group. Follow the directions in
the email. Individuals must register themselves at the
Yahoo site to begin receiving the local chapter information. If you lose this email, or do not receive it, please send a message to our membership coordinator, and we will help you get registered.
If you do not have regular access to the
Internet or email, please let our
membership coordinator
know, so we can provide a printed version of our materials via postal
mail.
Newsletter
The newsletter is sent out via the
Yahoo Groups email list on a monthly basis. It provides a calendar for the
month's events. Members may also use it to make announcements about other
interesting events, sales, or member businesses. Member
Directory
Our member directory is posted to the
Yahoo Group as a resource to all chapter members. It includes addresses,
phone numbers, emails, and children's names and ages.
Photos
Through Yahoo Groups members can
view and upload photos from M&M events. Any member can upload photos to
share with the group.
